LPS GLOBAL SCHOOL, NOIDA has applied for the prestigious British Council International School Award 2019-2020
Under the umbrella of this accreditation scheme, the school started with its first activity 'Waste: The Hidden Treasure' on 22 April 2019 for the classes V to VII. There were many sub-activities conducted under the main activity. The details of the same are shared below:

CAMPAIGN
The students of classes V to VII performed
a street play under the sub-activity Campaign of the ISA Project: Waste: The
Hidden Treasure. The street play was performed at Meghdutum Park, Sector 50,
Noida, on 6 July 2019 from7 a.m. to 8 a.m. The street play aimed at building
awareness in the society about the “Importance of Waste Management”. The key
concepts that we touched during the street play were importance of segregation
of waste at source, concept of recycling and importance of planting trees. The audience’s
feedback was overwhelming and very encouraging.
Sharing of Learning between LPS GLOBAL SCHOOL, NOIDA and BECONHOUSE SCHOOL, PAKISTAN)
Under the project Waste: The hidden treasure, students of LPS Global School, Noida and Beconhouse School, Pakistan created useful, innovative items from different types of waste.
Students of LPS GLOBAL SCHOOL shared presentations on composting process, while the students of Beconhouse school shared presentations on cleaner forms of energy. Both the presentations aimed at conserving our environment.

Teachers
of LPS GLOBAL SCHOOL, INDIA and BEACON HOUSE SCHOOL, PAKISTAN are introducing
the students to each other(India and Pakistan).

summarizing the importance of recycling.
The students of
Beacon House School, Pakistan shared how the waste products can be used to make
useful products rather then dumping the waste items in the ground.
Students
of LPS Global School, India told the partner school through skype session how
they had used the waste items and made useful things out of them.
Students of LPS Global School, India demonstrated and discussed , how they had used different waste items such as newspaper and toilet paper roll to make useful items like tray, posters, and Bangle stand.

with the teachers for sharing the items and views related to BEST OUT OF WASTE
activity and for the conduction of the skype session.
SHOWCASE
LPS GLOBAL SCHOOL organised a showcase of
the project: Waste: The Hidden Treasure on 5thJuly 2019.Parents were invited to witness the
same.The items prepared by the students
of classes V to VII during “Best out of Waste” activity were displayed. The compost
prepared during the term was also sold during the showcase. A street play
emphasizing the importance of waste management was also performed in front of the
parents.
